Jennifer & Alex at The Bowery Hotel

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

Jennifer and Alex were married in NYC on April 17th – the weekend that the volcano erupted in Iceland and grounded flights from Europe. This wouldn’t have been such an issue, except that Alex is British and 25 of their British guests couldn’t make it to New York for their wedding! Instead – as a surprise organized by groomsman Andy – the stranded guests dressed in their wedding attire abroad, got together in a central location, poured some champagne and filmed a video to send their love and happiness to the couple via YouTube! The Bowery Hotel was more than happy to oblige with setting up this truly emotional surprise and, as you can see from the pics below, the bride and groom were elated!

What amazing taste this couple has – everything they chose for their wedding day was the picture of elegance. Love the designs by Rifle Paper!

Congratulation Jennifer and Alex!

Celeste and Tom at The Metropolitan Building

Friday, October 15th, 2010

Celeste, a boutique owner in Brooklyn, and her fiancé, Tom, a film industry maven, chose the Met Building in LIC for it’s unique built in decor, warm feel and endless design possibilities. The couple enlisted their friends and family to make their wedding day absolutely unforgettable, and they truly succeeded! Family members performed their intimate ceremony, Celeste’s business partner Alec and his boyfriend Steve created all the decor design, including the floral arrangements, and friend Julie of Sweet Jewels, made their delicious favors… red velvet cake balls!

Celeste’s dress was custom designed by a friend of hers, and she hired local Brooklyn photogs Andrew and Gemma Hart Ingalls of Ingalls Photography, who captured the images below and set up a ‘photo booth’ style opportunity in front of the elevator to capture guests portraits as they entered the reception.

The cocktail-style wedding was catered by the Raging Skillet and the amazing music was spun by Brooklyn’s own DJ Myles and DJ Lindsey, who kept the dance floor packed the whole night – ending post-1 am with a full-on break dancing battle! Best of Luck and Congratulations Celeste and Tom!
